3D maps of the Brain

Van Wedeen, a Harvard radiology professor, is awestruck: “We’ve never really seen the brain – it’s been hiding in plain sight.” Conventional scanning has offered us a crude glimpse, but scientists such as Wedeen aim to produce the first ever three-dimensional map of all its neurons. They call this circuit diagram the “connectome”, and it could help us better understand everything from imagination and language to the miswirings that cause mental illness. But with 100 billion neurons hooked together by more connections than there are stars in the MilkyWay, the brain is a challenge that represents petabyte-level data.
So how much detail do they need? Wedeen, or the like-minded Human Connectome Project in the US, will tell you that it’s enough to chart the average pathways between areas of the brain (and that even this could take a decade to complete). However, this opinion has its critics: other scientists claim that a “true” connectome has to drill deeper, tracing each neuron and its hydra-headed links. It could be a fool’s errand, but for some it’s already their life’s work.
Wired spoke to three scientists, each using a different technique to create their own extraordinary mammalian connectome.

Wedeen used a souped-up MRI scanner to detect water diffusing along the fibres that link the different areas of an owl-monkey’s brain. He then traced where the broad circuitry lies and colour-coded it based on the direction of the tissue. The green, treelike structure on the left is the cerebellum, which handles perception. A next-generation scanner will allow him to image human brains. Wedeen says he wants to reveal “the symmetry and beauty in objects – from the outside, the brain is fairly ugly, but its architecture is beautiful and rational”.

How To Reprogram your Brain
Posted by admin | Filed under Science, Spiritual
Did you know neurons that fire together, wire together? This is why our paths continue in much the same fashion everyday; we do the same things day in and day out. We continue to do these things until something forces us to shift and change our belief systems and encourange the neurons to fire differently.
Some examples of this would be why a smoker keeps smoking or a drinker keeps drinking.
There are far more examples than the above though: It is why our hamstrings stay tight and why we do not achieve the success we came here to acheive.
Each one of us is hardwired from a young age. You do have the power to change the brain and therefore your current reality.
Meditate. Meditation can activate change. It helps to open the frontal lobe of the brain, which is considered one way to change your belief patterns and has been called the gateway to the subconscious mind.
Set a clear intention. Clearly state to the universe what it is you want in your life; this can be an emotional, physical or spiritual issue. Spend a few minutes each day revisiting your intention.
Make it visual. The subconscious mind does not know the difference between fact or fantasy. This is huge for you! You can help rewire your brain using visualization skills. Create a vision board which consists of gluing pictures to paper. Spend a few minutes each day enjoying/visualizing what you would like in your life.
Awaken. Each time you go to do something you know is because of the brain’s programming, stop! Awaken yourself to the fact you are doing this thing because of your hard-wiring. Make a conscious decision to change the behavior. In the case of something physical, tell your body how much you love it! It sounds quirky, however it is a very powerful option for change. For example, you have extremely tight hamstrings. Begin to stretch them and as you do, have a conversation with them. “Relax, hamstrings, relax. It is safe for you to let go and move forward.”

Five Brain-Manipulating Technologies That Prove Dollhouse Exists Right Now
Posted by admin | Filed under NWO, Science

Joss Whedon’s new show Dollhouse is about a secret organization that supplies mind-wiped sex ninjas to the rich. It’s not set in the future because neuromanipulated technoslaves could exist today. Here’s proof.
1. We can erase people’s memories.
Back in October a study was published in Neuron that proved an enzyme called CaMKII can erase bad memories while you recall them. In Dollhouse, the “actives” have their own memories erased first, and then new memories implanted. The brain-erasure technology is actually the cornerstone of the operation, as it’s what turns the actives into blank slates ready to be reprogrammed. Right now, with the cooperation of desperate people, scientists could be using CaMKII to erase their old lives. Then they’ll just need to implant new personalities and emotions.
2. We can regulate people’s moods with microchips.
Right now, there are a series of implantable microchips on the market that send out electrical impulses over your nerves that can soothe a depressed person or reduce seizures. Some call them neurological pacemakers, and we are discovering new things about them every day – such as the fact that some can cause instant orgasm. Wipe somebody’s brain, then install these brain pacemakers, and you might start shaping a whole new person by controlling what gives them pleasure and what makes them depressed.

Natural Psychedelic Experience

Jill Bolte Taylor, neuroscientist recounts her brain stroke story at TED 2008 – see the full video of her story by clicking the image below.
Her story, her way of recounting it and the places, the thoughts and the emotions she has lived through in this unique journey, have allowed me as well to re-unite myself with experiences, memories and silent concepts I have experienced and carried with me for a long time.
And when reunited with them again… I have felt a strong warm embrace from within. Like a grandparent hugging you with true, unrestricted love.
The mental places and inner realities recounted by Jill are, as she realizes herself, indeed available to everyone. But finding the path to access them can be as hard as hiking a mountain.
The emotions she transpires and the vision she carries are fantastic eye-openers for anyone wanting to see the immense beauty, and unlimited space for creation and expansion that is indeed available to all of us.
